Bishop- Elect Trevon D. McClary, B.A.R, M.H.R.M, SHRM-CP
Pastor Trevon D. McClary is a dynamic spiritual leader, innovator, and accomplished professional. The son of Lakresha Bradley and Trent Tisdale, Pastor McClary grew up with four siblings and received his early spiritual foundation at Mt. Carmel Universal Methodist Church under the guidance of his great-grandmother, Mother Mary White.
Pastor McClary’s educational journey is marked by exceptional achievement. A graduate of Kingstree Senior High School, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religion with a minor in Pastoral Studies from Allen University in 2021, graduating as the class salutatorian with summa cum laude honors. In recognition of his academic excellence and outstanding achievement, he received a House Resolution from the South Carolina House of Representatives in May 2021. He further developed his leadership and business expertise by earning a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management from Webster University in 2022, also graduating summa cum laude. Additionally, he holds a Graduate Certificate in Organizational Change and Development from Webster University. Pastor McClary is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration with a concentration in Organizational Leadership, demonstrating his commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
In the professional arena, Pastor McClary has distinguished himself as a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) through the Society for Human Resource Management. He serves as an Adjunct Instructor and as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Central Carolina Technical College, where he is a member of the President’s Executive Leadership Team. In recognition of his leadership and service, he was named the 2025 Administrator of the Year by the South Carolina Technical Education Association. He also serves as Treasurer of the Chief Human Resources Officers Peer Group for South Carolina’s 16 technical colleges and was appointed by Governor Henry McMaster to serve on the Board of Trustees for the Williamsburg County Disabilities and Special Needs Board, where he helps provide oversight and support for programs serving individuals with disabilities. Additionally, he serves as President-Elect of the Sumter Human Resources Management Association. Pastor McClary maintains active membership in several professional organizations, including the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the Sumter Human Resources Management Association (SHRMA), and the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR). He is also a member of the Young Professionals of Sumter, further demonstrating his commitment to professional development and community engagement. He is the author of Age Is Just a Number: Lead Well!
Pastor McClary’s spiritual journey began at an early age when he accepted Christ at 11 years old and acknowledged his call to ministry at the age of 12. His ministerial career has been marked by early leadership and significant responsibilities. At just 13 years old, he preached his first sermon and received his ministerial license through the Way of the Cross Church of Christ, International. Throughout his ministry, he has served in various leadership capacities, including National Public Evangelist for P.U.S.H. Ministries International and Co-Pastor of Shady Grove Free Will Baptist Church. He currently serves as the Founder and Senior Pastor of Freedom Worship Center International, including its Main Campus in Cades, South Carolina, and Freedom Worship Center – Outreach Campus in Kingstree, South Carolina. In June 2024, he was appointed National Vice President of Christian Education for the Greater Church of Deliverance. In March 2025, he was appointed Overseer of Christian Education, and in June 2025, he was elected Bishop in the Lord’s Church, further expanding his influence in religious leadership and Christian education.
Pastor McClary’s ministry is characterized by its transformative impact, with testimonies of spiritual renewal, deliverance, healing, and lives changed through the power of God. His ministerial philosophy is encapsulated in his personal motto: “If God is in it, there’s no limit.” He often cites Romans 8:28 as a guiding scripture in both ministry and life. As a leader, Pastor McClary is committed to making a global impact for the Kingdom of God through empowerment, education, and service. By combining his passion for ministry with his expertise in human resources and organizational leadership, he continues to influence both the church and the community, exemplifying excellence, vision, and transformational leadership.
